Clerk Stan Grot Using Taxpayer’s money to Promote Wife’s Election
Unethical, Immoral, and probably Illegal, Shady Shelby Township Clerk Stanley Grot is using your taxpayer money to print his name on all the Shelby Township Voter Absentee Ballot mailings in an election in which Stan Grot’s Wife is on the ballot.
A Township Clerk with integrity would have avoided a conflict of interest by printing ballot envelopes with simply the title Clerk of Shelby Township. But Stanley Grot does not have integrity.
Will Stanley Grot, who controls elections as Shelby Township Clerk, inappropriately try to give his candidate wife an advantage when the ballots are being mailed and counted?
Photos of Shady Stanley Grot personally moving and sorting through Voter Ballots shown above, absent voter application shown below.
Sylvia Grot’s own political flyer shows she is very unqualified, lists no formal education, no business experience, no professional experience, no work history (attached). Sure, Sylvia Grot’s volunteer work as a School Lunch mom is nice but does not prepare a person to be a State Representative to Vote on $70 billion Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 state budget and oversee 46,824 State Employees.
Shady Stan Grot played musical chairs by first filing for, then withdrawing for State Representative. In reality, ShadyStanley Grot didn’t want to give up his $90,000 job as Clerk to accept a $71,685 salary as a State Representative but wanted the income, Political Power and who knows what else pushing his wife Silvia Grot to file at the last minute for State Representative.
GOP Chair Laura Cox called the $200,000 payment to Stan Grot a “sleazy payoff.” The $200,000 Grot payoff was the Michigan Republican Party’s money and so added to the $940,000 State GOP debt.
Special Election March 1st
TripleDippers notes that Terence Mekoski is a 35-year Law Enforcement officer, having the budget and supervisory experience gained from working for City, Sheriff and Federal Law enforcement and supervising so many of the law enforcement men and women who keep us safe.
This is in sharp contrast to the empty resume of Sylvia Grot who never listed any job or education.
While not an endorsement, we believe Terence Mekoski will Protect and Improve the Quality of Life of Macomb County. A short video from Republican Terence Mekoski follows.
Whatever your choice, remember to vote in person on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, or apply for an absentee ballot for any reason online.
