Stan Grot is a Tax Cheat-and Silvia Grot Helped!

Stan Grot is a Double Dip cheater who tried to illegally avoid paying his fair share of school taxes. Stan Grot lied when he filed tax documents claiming a Delhi Twp. (Outside Lansing) second home was his family’s Primary Residence in order to illegally get a huge tax break. Stan Grot’s claim was blatantly false as at that time, Stan, Silvia and their 4 children were living in and kids were attending school in Sterling Heights. Cheating on taxes hurts everyone and is fundamentally unfair to everyone else who abides by the law. Fortunately, Stan Grot, the Double Dipping Tax Cheat was caught:

The Delhi Township Assessor Caught Stanley Grot’s Lie

“It is obvious that he (Stan Grot) has claimed the 1821 Dogwood address in Delhi as a Homestead and is not his legal address. Our records indicate this property owner (Stan Grot) was a registered voter in Sterling Heights since 5/14/85.  Consequently, we do not feel he has used the property in Delhi as his homestead and should not receive the Homestead Property tax exemption.”

James Felton, Delhi Township Assessor 1/31/97
2074 Aurelius Road, Holt, MI 48842 517-694-1502
(Full official Investigation of Stan Grot’s tax cheating lie below).

Stanley Grot filed a formal legal document claiming his homes in Delhi Twp. (outside Lansing) and Sterling Heights were his Primary Residence. Penalties for Michigan tax evasion are also very serious. More serious charges are related to falsifying a return. A conviction of this crime can lead to up to five years in prison and fines up to $5,000. In addition, a person could face perjury charges which come with more severe penalties including spending up to 15 years in jail.

Stan Grot tried to Double Dip, get huge property tax cuts on two houses instead of only one Primary residence as required by Michigan law.

Although only Stan Grot’s name is on the illegal Principal Residential Exemption on the second home in Delhi Township, Sylvia Grot’s name is on the sales document when Sneaky duo Grots eventually sold the Delhi Township home after being caught breaking State law.

Stan Grot’s own statements strongly suggest Sylvia Grot knew about the Cheating and Lying about Stanley Grot illegally claiming two big home tax breaks. “She’s always in front of me, behind me, at my side,” said Stan Grot.

Stan and Sylvia Grot are the Bill and Hillary Clinton of Macomb County, always trying to use public offices to personally enrich themselves.

A Principal Residence Exemption (PRE) exempts a residence from up to 18 mills of school taxes.

Stan Grot bought the Delhi Township home, in a suburb of Lansing to be close the State Capital when Stan was Assistant Secretary of State. Perhaps Stan thought his Powerful Political appointed job would get him special treatment?

Stan and Sylvia Grot have run for several Political offices in Macomb County

Republican Voters Rejected Sylvia Grot as Unqualified three times, including rejecting Silva Grot who only come in as 8th out of 11 Republicans running for County Clerk.

Sure, Sylvia Grot’s volunteer work as a School Lunch mom is nice but does not prepare a person to be a State Representative to Vote on $70 billion Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 state budget and oversee 46,824 State Employees. Sylvia Grot’s own political flyer (below) shows she is very unqualified, lists no formal education, no business experience, no professional experience, no work history, no military service.

Special Election March 1st

TripleDippers notes that Terence Mekoski is a 35-year Law Enforcement officer, having the budget and supervisory experience gained from working for City, Sheriff and Federal Law enforcement and supervising so many of the law enforcement men and women who keep us safe.

This is in sharp contrast to the empty resume of Sylvia Grot who never listed any job or education.

While not an endorsement, we believe Terence Mekoski will Protect and Improve the Quality of Life of Macomb County. A short video from Republican Terence Mekoski follows.

Whatever your choice, remember to vote in person on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, or apply for an absentee ballot for any reason online.
